Equipment & Uniform Information 2009
Boy's lacrosse program uniform and equipment requirements:
This policy applies to bantam (grades 1 & 2), lightning (grades 3 & 4), junior (grades 5 & 6), and senior (grades 7 & 8) levels only:
NRI / CYLAX provide game jerseys which are collected after each game. We also give each player a pair of game shorts which are theirs to keep.
The following equipment is required:
- NOCSAE-approved helmet. No hockey helmets.
- Lacrosse Shoulder Pads
- Lacrosse Arm Pads
- Lacrosse Gloves
- Protective Cup
- Mouthguard
- Lacrosse stick
- Any non-metal spiked cleats, mid sized preferred
Additional equipment suggested but not required:
- Equipment Bag
- Reversable Pinny for practice
- Lacrosse Balls
- Compression wear for under equipment
- Comfortable athletic socks with good ankle support
- Tape for stick handle
Game Jerseys and Goalie Equipment;
NRI & CYLAX maintain equipment bags and team game jerseys for each of its teams, this equipment and jerseys are assigned to each coach at the start of each season. NRI & CYLAX has a pass out and return policy on game day for all Team Jerseys, goalie equipment is passed out for each game as well as practices. A player will be assigned a number for the season from the coach at the beginning of the season, it is the responsibility of the player to retrieve and return his or her jersey each game to the coach to assure its inventory. All parents must agree to reimburse any missing, damaged, careless handling of NRI or CYLAX Team Jerseys by a player will result in a $75.00 replacement jersey fee paid to the league.
Girl’s lacrosse program uniform and equipment requirements:
This policy applies to bantam (grades 1 & 2), lightning (grades 3 & 4), junior (grades 5 & 6), and senior (grades 7 & 8) levels only
NRI / CYLAX provide game jerseys and kilts which are loaned out for the season. We also give each player a pair of shorts to keep which they can wear under the kilts.
The following is required:
- Mouthguard
- Protective lacrosse eyewear
- Lacrosse stick
- Any non-metal spiked cleats

Instructional Boys and Girls lacrosse program uniform and equipment requirements:
This policy applies to junior bantam (grades k to 1) level only.
The instructional level of boys and girls lacrosse will not include games or scrimmages. It is strictly dedicated to teaching the basics of catching and throwing with no physical contact betwen players. Practices will consist of fun filled drills and games focused upon correct basic techniques and to provide a basis for future skill development. It is for this reason that mouthguards and lacrosse sticks are the only required equipment for both instruction level boys and girls.
Instructional level (junior bantam) players will receive t-shirts to be worn at practices. These are for the player to keep.
